the 427 over head cammer is todaly different. it is a very capable engine however they are very expensive to build and are gona need plenty of gears to run, and before i get corrected by a ford guy there is a boss 429 and a proto type overhead camed 429 but those are todally different than what your gonna have in that ole bird. It might as well not excist at all, since the car has had alot of owners and they have been messing with everything. Most of the differences are in the heads and cams a 429 block is a 429 block its the same as a 460 same bore different stroke, thunder jet and such is a performance package and it being a ford product over the years its changed a few things about 4 million times, so unless your really good with fords or know someone that is best leave it alone its already in one of its higher performance levels. i cant find it at all, have gone through the engine compartment, and under the glovebox. Im having ha hard time locating the other end of this mess of cables, where are they supposed to end up? so where is the safety switch. the ones found in the coupling behind the dash. This "master" switch has three cables connected to it, the blue, the black/white and the red. This black/white wire is connected to some kind of master switch as i reccon it, the switch next to the lock switch. The blue and the red wire is 0V, but the black wire is 12.5V! my opinion is that someone has wired this faulty in the other end, or is there supposed to be power on the black and white? i took it apart to clean it in case of corrosion and took the opportunity to meassure the voltage. in search for what´s wrong i found a coupling behind the dash, in the coupling there was the blue wire, a black and white and a red wire. Thanks alot for the wiring diagram! ive started to tear down the interior in search for the right wires.Īccording to that wiring diagram and my observation the blue wire must be the power supplier, but its 0V.
